THE PROCESS
There is no one set formulae for every project because no project is ever the same. Choose as much or as little of the process you would like me to help you with. If you would only want me to help you with design development, sourcing, or renderings, I am happy to accomadate you where ever you are in your process!
STAGE 1
PROJECT START & BRIEF

This is the time and place for us to establish the foundation and preliminary ideas for your project. We will discuss your requirements and vision for your space.

1
INITIAL CONSULATION & PROJECT START
Together we begin a collaborative approach to identify your requirements, scope, timeline, vision and budget to form a strategic brief and assess how much involvement is needed. We will begin with either a site visit or zoom call, whatever best suits you, followed by a questionnaire and established brief.
2
SITE SURVEY & SCOPE OF WORKS
A detailed survey of the space will be carried out and advise on the need for services by consultants or specialists that may be needed for the project. Once a scope of works is agreed on a tailored fee proposal will be presented fully outlining our costs and overall budget.
3
CONCEPT PROPOSAL
We will create a mood board and concept proposals for each space including a schedule of the items in the scheme, i.e. furniture, lighting, bespoke joinery, accessories, floorings, finishes, and accessories among other potential items. Throughout the project we will ensure consistent updates and any potential changes to the detailed estimate of the works to be completed outlining the overall budget. In the case of required planning permissions, we will submit the application, including any relevant documentation, or submission of a Certificate of Lawful Development.
STAGE 2
DETAILED DESIGN & TENDER PACKAGES

At this time, the soul of the design comes to light. You will be able to visual your space, furniture and materials, and see the details that are created, and understand more definitely the timeline for the project.

1
DESIGN DEVELOPMENT & VISUALS
Once the concepts have been agreed on, we take these ideas into the design stage. This will start with mood boards, fabric and sample schemes, detailed 3D drawings of the room showing the furniture, lighting and material options. At the same time, we work with our architect and lighting specialist to ensure our designs are fully incorporated within the project to deliver the best results.
2
TECHNICAL PACKAGE
Once the design has been signed off, we produce detailed drawings to specify components such as joinery design, architectural design details and room spatial planning, along with full lighting and electrical plans. We will prepare and issue all technical documentation for the successful execution of the project and as required, elevations, sections covering furniture layout, tiling plans, and detailed joinery drawings. This will include all technical drawings, work schedules, FF&E schedules, custom details and all of the specifications. During this stage, we will continue to update and review the budget, so you’ll have complete cost transparency.
3
PROCUREMENT & PRODUCTION
Throughout the project we have clear timelines for building works and all purchase orders with the lead times in mind to ensure that the logistics seamlessly fit together. As soon as we have client sign off, we work closely together to make sure everything is delivered on time, from construction, to bespoke furniture, to decorative accessories.
STAGE 3
CONSTRUCTION & FINAL STAGES

Action takes centre stage. As construction and installation takes place, the physical development is supervised, and the progress monitored. The final stages take place before we hand over the project for the final close out.

1
INSTALLATION & CURATION
As the on-site construction commences, we continuously check-in with the contractors and monitor with regular site visits to ensure quality craftsmanship and that each of the project milestones is on schedule. As the project moves along, any unforeseen surprises that could cause changes in design or budget will be communicated with you quickly and I will always find the best solution that would fit the project. In this process you can have as much or as little involvement as you would like.
2
SNAGGING & STYLING
Coinciding with the overall project coordination, is the snagging visits on site. To ensure that we achieve excellence in every project we quality check all work being done and ensure that any scratches, discolorations, or marks are rectified together with our contractors. This also goes for anything from construction works to a lighting fixture to a small accessories that ties the design together. The devil is in the details, as my mother always says! As the design has come together a final overall view will establish if we need any finishing items for it all to come together.
3
HANDOVER
As the project is moving towards completion, it is time to hand over the project ‘keys’ to you. This will include any relevant documentation including building certificates, after care instructions, building and product specifications as relevant to the project. At this stage, the final invoice is due and time for you to raise any last tasks you would like to be done before we close the project and you get to enjoy your new space!
